Using True Words

It's common knowledge to know that it is better to think before you speak. The old French adage "turn your tongue seven times in the mouth before speaking" makes a lot of sense, as what Maria Duval says.

But the idea of true words most importantly means not rejecting, judging or critising yourself through the language you use. In other words, don't use your own words against yourself.

This also includes other people. For example, if you meeting someone you dislike, and you treat them as if they were some kind of idiot (even of you don't say anything out loud) you might think that you are using your words against them. But in actual fact, what you are doing is using your words against yourself, because this person will hate you and their hatred won't do you any good at all. So, if you get angry and use your words to send them your emotional poison, you are in fact using the, against yourself.
